Our organization is named for Bill Haskell. In Vietnam, he served with K Company (Kilo), 1st Platoon (One), as the Platoon commander (Actual) or Kilo One Actual.
As Bill fought pancreatic cancer at Walter Reed in September 2017, his nephew, Joe Haskell, helped organize his many visitors. He also saw that several men on Bill's ward had no visitors at all, day after day. Joe was inspired to find a way to help support and honor these veterans.
In 2019, Joe retired after a 30+ year career. Six months later, Kilo One Actual was formed with a mission of ensuring that no veteran is forgotten and each is honored.
