In August of 2017, Bill Haskell, a decorated Vietnam veteran, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He spent most of the next six weeks at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before passing away on September 17, 2017. Bill was lucky enough to have dozens of visitors while he was in the hospital who helped to lift his spirits and reinforce the impact of his service to our country.
Not every veteran is so fortunate.
Please help us ensure that every veteran is visited by a friend and receives a small gift to show that we are truly a grateful nation!
